Sirmione, the pearl of Lake Garda, is a village of around 8,000 inhabitants located on the tip of a peninsula in the southern part of the lake. Also known as one of the most romantic villages on Lake Garda, in ancient times it was a holiday destination for some Roman families who left us some magnificent villas to visit. Other attractions not to be missed are the atmospheric Scaliger castle, the Church of San Pietro in Mavinoand the Grottoes of Catullus. Outside the historic centre, a beautiful lakeside promenade and many natural beauties await you. The "Jamaica" beaches are also famous, where you can see one of the most beautiful sunsets on Lake Garda, the "Lido delle Bionde" and Punta Grò, the tip of the Sirmione area. The peninsula is also perfect for bike rides, with wonderful panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding villages.

If you visit the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano with your little ones, consider a visit to Peschiera. The town is located on the southern shore of Lake Garda. This is where the Mincio River, the lake's only outlet, flows out, and a long cycle path suitable for children begins, leading to the city of Mantua. Within a short distance of Peschiera are several amusement parks and water parks not to be missed: Gardaland Park, one of the most famous parks in Europe, as well as the Canevaworld and Movieland water park, an amusement park dedicated to the world of cinema. The town itself is also not to be missed, with plenty of attractions: a walking tour of the historic center is beautiful, discovering the fortress, the parish church of San Martino, and the Ponte dei Voltoni. Peschiera is also a departure point for numerous boat trips on the lake.

Riva del Garda, one of the most beautiful towns on the lake, has almost 20,000 inhabitants and overlooks the northern shore of the lake. Coming from the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano, it is the closest place to visit. But what can you see in Riva del Garda? The town is famous for the beautiful promenade along the beaches where it is possible to swim and do many water sports. Riva del Garda and nearby Torbole are the ideal starting point for those who practice these sports: from here you can go sailing and try kitesurfing or windsurfing. It is also possible to go scuba diving. The historic center with its picturesque narrow streets, shops and restaurants and the famous Apponale tower is also absolutely not to be missed. If you are nature lovers, also consider the numerous excursions around Riva del Garda.

This path, now open only to pedestrians and cyclists, was for a long time the only link between the Lake Gardaand the Ledro Valley. Opened in 1891, it was accessible to motor traffic until 1998, when it was replaced by a tunnel. The old road, which had become dangerous due to frequent rockfalls, was closed to traffic and became a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. After several improvements, the pedestrian and cycle path was officially opened in 2004. Along its 10 km route, with an elevation gain of 550 metres, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains. A must-do trip if you enjoy walking or mountain biking!

The Lake Garda, easily reachable from the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano, offers many attractions to suit all tastes. Whether you prefer taking a stroll through the historic centreof an ancient village, swimming in the lake or going hikingin the mountains – you can enjoy it all.
