With more than two centuries of history, Terme di Comano is a place where nature truly heals. Immerse yourself in Comano Thermal Water, drink it, breathe it: three different ways to find well-being for your skin, your breathing, and your inner balance in the 14-hectare thermal park, in the heart of Trentino, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites.

A local company

Azienda Consorziale Terme di Comano was founded from the union of five municipalities: Stenico, Comano Terme, Bleggio Superiore, San Lorenzo Dorsino, and Fiavé. It is a company that operates in four complementary sectors: thermal baths, hospitality, healthcare, and cosmetics, with a single mission: to bring well-being, care, and longevity.

Employee management policies

The spa company is a pillar of employment in Giudicarie Esteriori: 63% of employees come from the local area, totaling 162 staff members: 48% are under 40, 29% are over 50, 59% of employees reside in the five municipalities that own the company, and 62% are women.


Internal solidarity policies and flexible working hours promote loyalty: one-third of employees have been with the company for over 10 years.

Environmental protection and biodiversity

The 14-hectare Thermal Park is a treasure trove of biodiversity and a natural heritage cared for every day with attention and responsibility. There are 868 trees surveyed, belonging to 19 different species. 711 different plant species have been cataloged. The Park offsets approximately 250 tons of CO2 every year.

ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY

Clean energy

74% of electricity comes from renewable sources: 93% hydroelectric, 7% photovoltaic. The photovoltaic system, active since 2011, covers 5.5% of the energy needs, saving approximately 60 tons of CO₂ per year. 84.5% of waste is reused or recycled.


Since 2023, the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano has obtained the important GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification, an international recognition that certifies the entire company's concrete commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism.

The microbiota

The origin of our research

Following an idea by Dr. Mario Cristofolini, president of the G.B. Mattei Institute, the research focused on the microbiota of thermal water, revealing its mechanisms of action and interaction with skin microbial flora. In parallel, projects were developed on the cosmetic line for the development of new dermo-cosmetic products and the production of Lysacom Biome, a patented bacterial lysate produced directly from Comano Thermal Water. Terme di Comano is the only spa in Italy to have produced a raw material.
